Main Event Sound & Lighting is an Indianapolis based company that has been active in the industry for over 22 years. Staffed by talented designers and engineers, Main Event makes use of its breadth of resources to ensure a highly individualized production design for each and every event.
Kelly Johnson - CEO & President of Live Events
Kelly has always had a passion for live sound and music. Realizing his desire to be an entrepreneur, Kelly devoted his time and resources to building a sound and lighting company. Kelly continued to grow his inventory and client base while enjoying competitive ballroom dancing in his free time. Today, Main Event has expanded into a successful company that is capable of illuminating and amplifying any event.
Corey Ward - CFO & President of Design
Corey has similarly had a passion for event production. After working with Kelly from nearly the beginning to help build Main Event, Corey decided to take his passion on the road. In addition to freelancing as an audio engineer and lighting designer, Corey earned a B.S. in Theatre Education from Indiana University. He lived in New Mexico working with Navajo youth to build a Theatre program before moving to study event design in New York City. Corey has recently partnered with Kelly to continue to build Main Event and provide elegant and unique design techniques to the local market.
